NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Gaming Board for The Bahamas is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Terah L. Rahming as Secretary, effective May 1, 2025.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Ms. Rahming brings over 30 years of leadership experience across regulatory, financial, and operational sectors. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Jarol Investments Ltd. (Chances Games) and held executive roles in asset management and compliance. From 2014 to 2017, she was Chairman of the Gaming Board, guiding key reforms during a pivotal modernization period.
“It is a privilege to return to the Gaming Board in this capacity,” said Ms. Rahming. “I remain committed to strengthening our regulatory systems and industry partnerships as we work to position The Bahamas as a global leader in transparent and sustainable gaming.”
The Board also extends sincere gratitude to Mr. Ian Tynes, who demitted office after nearly 40 years of service—the longest tenure in the Board’s history. Mr. Tynes began as a trainee inspector in 1985 and served in senior roles across Technical Compliance, Operations, and IT before becoming Secretary in 2019.
“Mr. Tynes’ legacy is one of dedication, technical excellence, and lasting impact on the Gaming Board and the nation,” said Dr. Daniel Johnson, Executive Chairman.
The Board looks forward to continued progress under Ms. Rahming’s leadership as it upholds its mandate of regulatory excellence in service to the Bahamian people.
