At the beginning of February, the Gaming Board for The Bahamas had the privilege of making good on a promise to the dedicated staff of the Bahamas Children's Emergency Hostel (BCEH). After hosting a Back-to-School Party for the children in January, we recognized the invaluable work of the caregivers who provide daily support, guidance, and care to the hostel’s residents. We knew they deserved a special show of appreciation.
In recognition of their hard work and dedication, our team returned to BCEH with self-care packages for each staff member—a small token of our gratitude for the compassion they show every day. To further express our appreciation, we partnered with Windermere, Harbour Bay, to provide each caregiver with a spa gift certificate, ensuring they had the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation.
But we didn’t stop there. Our team also brought along books, toys, and gifts for the nursery residents, ensuring the children had additional resources for both play and learning.
The Gaming Board for The Bahamas remains committed to giving back to the community and supporting those who make a difference. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of BCEH for their unwavering dedication and the critical role they play in the lives of so many young Bahamians.
